Laughter is a good medicine and they say he who can laugh at himself is the happiest.
But it’s one thing to find humour in everything and another to become laughing stock or the butt of all jokes.
And with the latest tirade of jokes doing the rounds about the elections, the joke is on us – the Indian voter.
The one who laments and lambasts the woes of the common man but lacks the common sense and gets herded like the common cow and is shooed away after the elections like the common crow.
We are led to believe we are choosing our leader or making our future.
What we essentially are is a number so miniscule and tiny that quantum physics alone can relate and explain the impact of ONE INDIAN VOTER.
Nope, there aren’t any atoms in us that can bring about fission or fusion.
We just keep on orbiting arbitrarily.
Run like the hamster on the wheel while being fed a liberal dose of ‘news’ to keep our interests piqued.
Laugh!
While you can.
As they laugh all the way to the bank.
Look in the mirror. And laugh.
Laugh as hard as you can.
Maybe…just maybe it may heal your wounds.
